Gottman Relationship Therapy

How Gottman Relationship Therapy Works

Kirkland Clinical (13)

This approach draws upon extensive research spanning years, dissecting the factors that contribute to both the success and failure of relationships. The initial telehealth session convenes both individuals to openly discuss the highs and challenges of their lives. We'll delve into the relationship's history, exploring its origins, encountered hurdles, and achieved triumphs.

This process enables a comprehensive understanding, painting a vivid portrait of your shared life, rich in insight and enjoyment. You'll receive an introduction to the Gottman Method and its potential benefits. A pivotal component involves completing an assessment through the Gottman Institute, which furnishes invaluable insights into your relationship dynamics—a cornerstone for shaping an effective treatment strategy.

To initiate the assessment process, kindly provide your respective email addresses via the portal messenger. An invitation to the Gottman Relationship Check-up will be sent to you. The associated fee ($39 per couple) is settled directly through the Gottman Institute's online platform. It's important to note that while the relationship check-up is recommended, it isn't mandatory. Should you opt to proceed, please ensure completion before our second session. Any questionsregarding this procedure are welcomed.

The subsequent two sessions are dedicated to individuals, offering a dedicated space for each of you to outline your perspectives on the relationship.

In the fourth session, we'll review the Gottman Relationship Checkup outcomes and collaboratively explore methods to bolster your relationship's foundation as a couple. Whether it's reigniting a past friendship or nurturing the connection you've always desired, practical homework assignments will be provided. These daily exercises are designed to foster skill development and meaningful progress.
